Package Your Three Core Offers
Most drain companies list a wall of services: snaking, augering, hydro jetting, camera inspection, root cutting, grease traps, sewer repair. To an owner it reads like a menu. To a panicked customer with water on the floor, it reads like homework. They can't tell what to ask for, so they call the next guy.
Package everything you do into three clear offers, each named around what the customer gets. Three is the sweet spot: enough to show range, few enough to make the choice easy.
Offer 1: Emergency Drain Cleaning
This is the "help me right now" offer. The customer has a backup and doesn't care about your equipment — they care about how fast you show up and whether the price will shock them. Lead with speed and a clear arrival window.
Emergency Drain Cleaning — "Sink, tub, toilet or main line backed up? Same-day service with a two-hour arrival window and an upfront price before we start. Most clogs cleared in one visit."
Offer 2: Hydro Jetting & Sewer Cleaning
This is your premium fix for the customer who keeps having the same problem. Snaking punches a hole through the clog; jetting scours the pipe wall clean. Sell it as the lasting solution, and always tie it to camera verification so the customer sees the proof.
Hydro Jetting & Sewer Cleaning — "Recurring clogs, grease buildup or root intrusion? We jet the line wall-to-wall and show you the before-and-after on camera, so you know it's actually clean — not just temporarily open."
"Hydro Jetting Services. 4000 PSI water jetter. Call for a quote." (This talks about your machine, not the customer's problem.)
Offer 3: Preventive Maintenance
This is your recurring-revenue offer, aimed at restaurants, HOAs, and property managers who cannot afford a surprise backup. Sell it as scheduled peace of mind: you jet or inspect their lines on a set interval so they never get the 6 p.m. Friday emergency call.
Drain Maintenance Program — "For restaurants and multi-unit properties: scheduled jetting and camera checks on a quarterly or monthly plan. Priority scheduling, locked-in pricing, and a documented line history for your records."
Name the outcome, not the tool
Across all three, the rule is the same: the headline is what the customer walks away with. "Same-day relief." "A clean that lasts." "Never get surprised again." Put the three offers side by side on your homepage and every service page so the customer's next step is obvious.
Zoom Drain (Birmingham) separates its work into clean tiers — Drain Cleaning, Hydro Jetting, Drain & Sewer Inspection, and a distinct Maintenance Programs track for commercial accounts. A restaurant owner can immediately see the recurring option instead of hunting through a service list, which is exactly why the preventive offer sells.
Do this: today, write your three offers on one page — Emergency, Hydro Jetting, Preventive Maintenance — with a one-line outcome headline for each. Put them side by side on your homepage before you touch anything else.
